Trains to Branksome

Branksome train station is located in Poole and is part of the South Western Main Line, serving the areas of Branksome and Branksome Park with connections to London and Weymouth. The fastest journey time for direct trains from Branksome to London Waterloo is 1 hour and 58 minutes, while trains to Weymouth take a minimum of 45 minutes. The connection to Poole itself can take as little as 6 minutes.   

Branksome itself is a largely residential area, though the area around the station is home to several shops and the Poole Retail Park lies nearby. Both platforms at Branksome train station are accessed by steps and they are linked by a footbridge over the line. There is a ticket machine and a staffed ticket office for passengers.  

The station at Branksome was originally opened in 1893 on the site of a junction. Today, it is served on weekdays and Saturdays by one train an hour to Weymouth, and two hourly services to Poole and London.
