Trains to Beaconsfield travel to and from the Buckinghamshire town on the Chiltern Main Line, with regular services to London Marylebone, High Wycombe, and Princes Risborough. The area immediately around the station is known as the New Town and developed around the time the railway arrived in Beaconsfield in 1906. The historic centre - the Old Town - is about a mile south of the station and is loaded with shops and pubs in some beautifully preserved Georgian and Tudor revival buildings.
The fifteen-minute walk to the Old Town will take you past the National Film and Television School at the Beaconsfield Studios, one of the most renowned film schools in the world. To the north of the station, you can explore the delights of Bekonscot, the oldest original model village in the world and a journey back in time to a teeny-tiny version of 1920s England.
