Trains to Barming

Located just west of Maidstone, Barming Railway Station serves Tonbridge and Malling Borough with Southeastern trains through Kent and to London. First opened in 1874, much of the original station remains; both platforms remain at their original 6-car length, although some peak period trains are formed of 8 coaches. The southbound platform 2 (terminating at Ashford International) maintains its original station building; a large wooden shelter remains on the northbound platform 1 (terminating at London Victoria). Trains from Barming operate hourly, with one service in each direction. During peak periods, there is a limited hourly service across London along the Thameslink route, calling at intermediate stations through London and continuing to Bedford.

The station has an ample car park and is manned from 05:50-09:15. Ticket machines are available and recommended for use particularly when the ticket office is closed. The country-bound platform 2 has step-free access, but platform 1 is not suitable for wheelchairs. Passengers for London should travel to Maidstone East for suitable arrangements.
