The London Zoo – Find your inner monkey!
Zoos are always a hit with the kids, and this one really tops the bill. Over 750 species of animals are on display, including the popular Blackfooted penguins and Moon jellyfish, amongst the more classic lions and giraffes. Kids can get up really close to creepy crawlies with the Megabugs presentation, or watch the penguins gulp down whole fish during feeding time, with many more daily events taking place. The brilliant 'Meet the Monkeys' enclosure allows visitors to walk through a recreation of a Bolivian rainforest, with no barriers between them and the animals! A specially designed play area encourages visitors to imitate the movement of monkeys and teaches them about some of the tools they use to get around. These are just some of the highlights of a truly magical day for all the family.

The Tower of London
The Tower of London is one of the world's most famous fortresses and has seen service as royal palace, prison, armoury and even a zoo. The ancient stones reverberate with dark secrets, priceless jewels glint in fortified vaults and pampered ravens strut the grounds.
The Tower is still home to her majesty's Crown Jewels, on display for visitors to see, and the infamous Beefeaters tasked with the job of guarding them as well as showing visitors some of the attractions highlights.
Situated in central London just a stones throw from the River Thames, the Tower of London is the one of the city's premier attractions. With so much on offer it's no wonder it's popular with visitors.

London Transport Museum
Although we are little biased, we don't think that a trip to London would be complete without a visit to The London Transport Museum!
Lively exhibitions explore the powerful link between transport and the growth of modern London, its culture and society since 1800. Full of light, colour and movement, the London Transport Museum explores how transport has given the City its unique identity. The collection contains a wealth of heritage vehicles, posters, artworks, photographs, film and video footage, engineering drawings, uniforms, station signs and tickets.
Highlights include the iconic red London Routemaster bus, the world's first Underground steam train and the 'padded cell' - one of the first electric locomotive Underground trains dating back to 1890.
The galleries are full of interactive exhibits for young people and adults alike, including real buses and trains to play on, and drama characters bring stories alive in an entertaining and informative way.
Galleries
Our Top Pick:
Tate Modern
Tate Modern is the national gallery of international modern art for Britain. Based in a spectacular disused power station in the heart of London, Tate Modern was created in 2000 and has since become world renowned as a centre for modern art from around the world.
The collection at Tate Modern includes all the major modern art movements from Fauvism onwards. It features Picasso and Matisse, Dali, Ernst and Mirò. There are works by Pollock, Naum Gabo and Giacometti and the Seagram Murals of Rothko are displayed in the famous Tate Rothko Room. Pop art has its place, including works of Lichtenstein and Warhol, as does Minimal art and Conceptual art.
For contemporary art lovers the Tate Modern is must on your visit to London. Also, this modern art gallery can be found on London's Southbank, a stones throw from the Thames and the infamous millennium footbridge, an intriguing piece of modern engineering.
Great news! Tate Modern admission is free for everyone, but if you have a London Pass, you will receive the added bonus of a free audio-guide. Listening to the audio-guide as you tour the galleries will help you learn about the works at your own pace.
