For charities

Registered charities that are 10% or more voluntarily funded and have a business account with thetrainline can get a 20% discount on all Virgin Trains Advance tickets.

Email us at charitydiscount@thetrainline.com to apply for this discount, making sure you provide the following:

• Your trainline account business ID
• Your charity registration number

For charities with an annual income over £500K you will need to provide the link to your charity's page on the Charities Commission website (Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator website for Scottish charities) showing your organisation's income status.

For charities with an annual income under £500,000 you will need to provide a notice of compliance, from the organisation's Financial Director or equivalent, stating that the Charity is 10% voluntarily funded.
This certification will need to be repeated every 2 years.
